Folsom Lake College is the first community college built in the 21st century and one of only a few colleges built in the last 25 years. When completed, the college is expected to serve 15,000 - 20,000 students. Los Rios is the second largest community college district in the state with 67,000 students enrolled at its four colleges-American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake and Sacramento City.
